Healthy and Natural Granola Bars Recipe
By pam
In between classes, homework, meetings at work or hanging around with friends, it may seem like there’s no time for healthy eating. And when it’s time to eat, it’s easier to turn to the nearest fast food or vending machine for potato chips or candy.
But remember, not matter how busy you get, you can still treat yourself to a healthy snack. In fact, if you are always on the go, it is important to eat healthy foods that will give you energy to keep going.
A granola bar is a good idea of a snack food that will keep you energized in between your hectic schedule. It can be easily packed and stored inside your bag, ready to be eaten anytime, anywhere. If you cook it yourself, you can choose the ingredients you put in it to make sure that you are eating healthy granola bars.
Here’s a recipe of healthy and natural granola bars from Betty.
Ingredients:
4 cups quick or old fashioned oats, uncooked
1 cup chopped nuts (I used 1/3 cup sliced almonds, 1/3 cup chopped pecans, and 1/3 cup English walnuts.)
1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
2/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1/3 cup light corn syrup (You may use honey.)
1/2 teaspoon salt
cooking oil spray
Then, watch this video where Betty shares her philosophy of eating healthy foods and demonstrates how to cook healthy and natural granola bars.
