Loaded Quinoa Smoothie

This smoothie is great for breakfast, before or after training or virtually any time of the day.
It has a good amount of:
- proteins
- antioxidants
- probiotics
- healthy fat
- omega3 (if you use flaxoil)
And it only takes a couple of minutes to make.
Ingredients
1 orange
2 hand full blueberries
1 cup of plain yogurt with probiotics or 1 cup of regular or non-daily yogurt and 1 teaspoon of inliven
5 teaspoons cooked quinoa
2 teaspoons olive oil or flaxoil
1 teaspoon liquid honey
1/2 teaspoon fresh ginger
If you start with uncooked quinoa, rinse, cook and let it cool first.
Peel the orange.
Add all the ingredients in a mixer add mix until smooth.
Drink in a big glass before or after workout.

Are you using cooked or uncooked quinoa in this recipe? I’m assuming it is cooked in which came you may not need to rinse it.
My second thought was that this would be delicious with frozen blueberries as well.
Can’t wait to try it the next time I have leftover quinoa.

Cooked quinoa. You should alwyas rinse the quinoa before you cook it.
