The Most Toxic And Common Skin Care Ingredients
By Carolin
Checking the ingredients in our food is relatively easy.
1. something you cannot pronounce and sounds as if it belongs in a chemistry class = NOT GOOD
2. anything you would not use in your own kitchen = NOT GOOD
When it comes to skin care. It’s a bit more tricky.
The first time you read the ingredients label on a lotion or shampoo you are not likely to recognize one single item.
But this doesn’t make it less important. Checking your skin care for toxins is vital. Read this translation that Narelle Chenery made for us and you will understand:
Dimethicone (silica): Harmful by skin absorption, Eye irritant, Skin irritant. Causes TUMORS in lungs, thorax & endocrine system. Toxicological properties have NOT been thoroughly investigated.
Sodium Laureth Sulfate (coconut): Composed of 4 known carcinogens: Formaldehyde, Dioxane, Ethylene Oxide, Acetaldehyde
Cocoamidopropyl Hydroxysultaine: Causes redness and stinging of skin & eyes. Toxicological properties have NOT been investigated at all.
Triethanolamine (TEA): Severely irritating to body tissues, Corrosive to the eyes. Reacts with nitrosating agents to form nitrosamines, which are Carcinogenic
Methylchloroisothiazolinone: Harmful by skin absorption. Corrosion and burning of eyes & skin. Permanent irreversible eye damage.
Phenoxyethanol: Toxic to kidney and bladder. Causes reproductive disorders, serious eye damage & brain degeneration
Don’t forget to check your toothpaste. You probably put Sodium Laureth Sulfate in your mouth twice a day.

I’d prefer skin products with natural ingredients. Most artificial ingredients are harmful.
I really enjoyed the article posted regarding harmful ingredients in personal care products. It was very informative and I believe you are absolutely correct about the negative impact that these chemicals can have on our bodies. I have discovered several amazing reports to validate your position, and I think you would find the information fascinating. I would love to discuss this further with you. Please email me at your earliest convenience at tdeann24@gmail.com. One report in particular is very serious in nature and was documented on CNN. I’ll send you a link.
