High fructose corn syrup is a highly processed product that stocks up in our bodies, gives us diabetes and makes us fat.
In the 70:ties HFCS was basically not existing in our food. Today it is everywhere.
That is the problem with our foods today. Highly processed substances are approved as they are meant to be used in small amounts. Suddenly the small amounts are added in so many things we eat that it is not consumed in small amounts or in moderation anymore.
High fructose corn syrup has a well deserved bad reputation.
Today the producers of high fructose corn syrup is doing it’s best to make us feel stupid for questioning what is in our food. I agree with Adele that commercials that advocate consumption of HFCS is only ONE more reason to avoid it. Read more
