Natural Toothpaste, It Works!

By Carolin

Welcome back!

Finally, I’ve found an All Natural toothpaste that works. The first time I tried natural, non-fluoridated toothpaste before but it didn’t take long before I felt cavities in my teeth. This time it is totally different. I’ve been using this new all natural, organic product for 5 months now and my teeth have never felt so clean and so white before. And my breath has never been so fresh. Without fluoride, aluminum, artificial sweeteners or detergents you might think that it would not do the job but it really does. The top reasons why I like this toothpaste is:

  1. My teeth feel very clean
  2. It keeps my breath fresh
  3. It controls my tartar
  4. It controls cavities
  5. I only need to use a very small amount each time
  6. I don’t need to worry about my kids swallowing the toothpaste
  7. This toothpaste contains no harmful ingredients

It comes in Anise, Mint and Lemon taste. Anise is my favorite. The taste is quite strong but you only need very little toothpaste to properly clean your teeth. How Did I Get my Kids to Use it? My kids are young. And they want to use kiddy toothpastes that taste like candy. When I found the miessence toothpaste I simply told why I wanted to you this toothpaste instead. I also told them that it had a stronger taste than their old toothpaste and suggested that we would use just a little bit of the new toothpaste and some more of their old usual toothpaste on their toothbrush. Every day they increased the new toothpaste and decreased the old. It too less than a week for them to totally stop using their old toothpaste. Every time that they dared to try a bit more of the new one, they where really proud.

Whoa I never realized there could be organic toothpaste. Is their any scientific advantage or is it the same as regular toothpaste.

For me, the major advantage is that it is free of toxins. For others it might be the natural whitening that gives it an advantage over regular toothpaste.

I have never heard of this either. So this does not have flouride in it? I love using all natural products, but toothpaste scares me a bit. How is the taste? I may have to give it a try, but I am sceptical about this.

If your teeth is in perfect condition, then go organic but we’re not talking here about oral and dental disorders.

See, you can find a difference when you have some small scratch in your mouth, if you use ordinary(chemical) paste you will hurt like a burn, but if you use organic means you will get some what good, it is going to solve your problem.

Mix three parts baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) with one part table salt (sodium chloride).

Add enough water to make a thick paste. If desired, a few drops of peppermint oil may be added to improve the taste.

Consider Ben Franklin’s toothpaste, which was a mixture of honey and ground charcoal. Sweet, tasty, kinda gritty… probably didn’t keep the cavities away though.

You guys mean that I simply can mix baking soda with water and use that as toothpaste. Cool!

I’m curious. How does organic toothpaste taste like? I mean it’s flavored but there should be a different taste to it being organic and all that. Does your mouth still feel/taste minty after brushing with it?

This toothpaste has a really strong taste so yes you definitely get that fresh feel afterwards. It tastes a little different from what most of us are used to since the flavor is not artificial.
Are you Swedish Aaron? You can get these in Sweden too.

Oh yes, two thumbs up for natural tooth pastes. These certainly don’t contain harmful SLS to irritate the mouth tissues. I wonder how different this product would be from other natural toothpastes.

I’ve always fancied giving one of these a go but wasn’t sure if the effects would be as good as a regular toothpaste. You’ve persuaded me to go for it though, thanks!

I will be honest; when I first tried the Miessence toothpaste, I hated it. I spit it out, thinking, “Why did they put salt in their toothpaste?-Yuk! Maybe it’s an Australian thing.” After letting it sit in our medicine cabinet for a few months, I decided to give it another try and was hooked. Once you get over the fact that there is a slight salty taste, these toothpastes are wonderful. They leave your mouth feeling really fresh and your teeth feeling smooth and squeaky clean, a feeling which lasts most of the day. They even lighten and get rid of stains! My favorite is the Anise flavor.

After three brushes I was in love. This is the best tooth paste I have ever used! I was very skeptical at first, I am very picky about my tooth paste. However, I gave this a try and now it is all I use and my teeth are proof of how well it works! I highly recommend this product !
