EU law on trans fat

Finally EU have decided to formulate a law that regulates the limit of trans fat in food.
Despite that the health risks of trans fat are well known only Denmark and California have limits on trans fat.
This is definitely a step in the right direction and an important signal to the producers. But we should not expect fast results as the EU is known to have very slow decision process and such a law probably would be effective 5 years from now.
But who knows, if we’re lucky this will scare the producers enough to start to removing or limiting the use of trans fats before the law is implemented.
