Popcorn are great snacks.
Making your own stove top popcorn is inexpensive and a lot healthier. By using whole grain, for example amaranth or spelt, instead of corn you get a very nutritious low fat snack.
Ingredients
23 tbsp Oil
1/2 cup Grains
Use a pan with a lid.
Add oil and 2-3 grains to the pan.
Preheat oil on high heat in the pan when the grains pop you know it has the right temperature.
Add grains to the pan and cover and lower the heat slightly.
Shake the pan back and forth over the stove until the popcorn ceases to pop.
Pour popcorn into a bowl.
Season with sea salt and enjoy. (Skip the butter, it only makes them greasy and fatteing.)
For a more spicy experience:
Top your popcorn with chili or cayenne pepper.

To add to the “more spicy experience”, I use tabasco on popcorn and it tastes great! Great recipes, I especially like the onion-dill salt recipe…
To make it even more no fat skip the oil and use an air popper. 0 fat, until you add your toppings.

The onion dill low fat popcorn sounds good. I have to try that one. Not sure how the whole grain will taste but willing to try it.
