We’re used to adding creams and nutrition from the outside. But really it is more effective and healthier to feed our skin from the inside.
Your skin needs:

Fats: Yes, your skin needs fat, especially omega-3. The fat will make your skin smoother. Be careful with saturated fats since they can cause acne.

It is really too bad that most companies focus on selling us cremes, and other things to work on the inside when something as simple as making sure that you eat right can make more of a difference.
Maybe more focus needs to be taken while we are at school age so that we have a better understanding of how to take care of ourselves as adults without having the need to buy every beaty product under the sun.
