Drink regular soda and lose weight

It all began in 1982 when Coca cola introduced Diet Coke.
Today Americans drink 54 gallons of carbonated soft drinks a year (about half a liter a day). 30 % of this is diet soda.
Diet soda sales increases 5 times more than the sales of regular soda, every year.
A first glance diet soda seams like a great alternative. Regular is packed with sugar and calories. With diet soda you get almost the same taste without the sugar and calories.
What most people don’t know is that products with artificial sweeteners make us fatter than its regular counter part.
How can that be?
- The sweet taste in your mouth tricks you body to think that you’re eating sugar.
- To take care of the sugar the insulin levels in your blood increases.
- But you didn’t eat sugar so your blood sugar level is not increasing to meet the now higher insulin.
- Result: you get hungry and you crave sugar.
The disappointing truth is: Drinking diet soda makes you eat more.
3 simple strategies to drink soda and still lose weight
- Trade in your diet soda for regular.
- Drink one glass of water before every glass of soda.
- Drink water or nothing with your meal and have a soda after your meal, like a desert if you like.

Of course I don’t know you and your situation at all so I’m just going to give you some general advice.
If you want to loose weight and keep that weight off you need to make changes in your lifestyle that you find ok enough to keep for a longer period.
Don’t focus too much on the scale. Measure and feel you body as well.
My recommendations are to eat healthier:
1. Drink a lot of water
2. Eat a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables
3. Stop eating when you are full
4. Always start you meal with fresh vegetables
And exercise more:
To loose weight you want to speed up your metabolism. To do this you need to choose exercises that makes your heart rate go up. Walking is an excellent, convenient and free exercise.
To get the most out of your exercise do it in the morning. You metabolism then stays high during the whole day. (You’ll burn more calories doing nothing for the rest of the day.)
Either exercise for 20 minutes in the morning or split it up and to 10 min in the morning and 10 around lunch time.
Do anything that you think is fun and convenient. As long as it makes you heart beat faster.
Walk, run, jump up and down, walk the stairs, do aerobics, bike.
