Want to loose weight? Or just want to stay healthy and avoid for example allergies. Either way it’s important to help your body to cleanse and remove toxins.
Following a detox diet is a much easier than fasting. The big, essential difference is that with a detox diet you can eat food, detox food.
Do a body detox to:
- Help your body to cleanse and remove toxins
- Loose weight
- Get more energy
- Kick-start a diet program
- Kick-start a healthier life
Getting started
The first time you might consider a 36-hour detox: start after dinner day 1 and stop at breakfast day 2.
If you are used to eating healthy then start with a 3-5 days detox.
A really good detox continues for 10 days.
Prepare a couple of days in advance with avoiding coffee, black tea and alcohol.
Be prepared
A body detox can cause headaches, skin rashes, eczema, body odor and tiredness when the toxins leave the body. Listen to your body and take it easy. Do not attempt to detox if you are sick. If in doubt, consult with your physician first.

Is it wise to be drinking tea with caffeine in it on a detox? i know white and green are quite low in it but it is still there. red tea is of course caffeine free.
It very important to drink a lot of water during a detox.
Not tea can replace the cleansing function of water.
There are many herbal teas that are caffeine free that you can drink. For example red tea.
Green and white tea are low in caffeine and they help the body to detox. They increase the level of increase detoxification enzymes (GST enzymes).
