Why I Started To Use Fluoridated Toothpaste Again

Thanks for visiting!

Fluoride is accumulated in our bodies and it is toxic and can cause for example softened bones.

I’ve always had healthy teeth. My dentist once advised me to stop my dental insurance and just come on a check up once every 2 years.
Anyway, a while ago I had a real top diet period. My diet contained almost nothing except fresh fruits, vegetables and water. My intake of refined sugar was next to nothing.
So consider this. I had , no problems with tooth decay, and I ate no sugar.
During this period I decided to use non fluoridated toothpaste.

The result:
Well after only a couple of months I started to feel my teeth, the beginning of tooth decay. Stubborn as I am, I stuck with my new habits and started to brush me teeth one extra time after lunch. Now I brushed my teeth 3 times a day, wouldn’t that be enough?

To my disappointment it was not. And I was forced to buy natural toothpaste with fluoride.
One week after I was back to fluoride toothpaste my symptoms of tooth decay were gone.

What is fluorosis?

Fluorosis is when the level of fluoride in our bodies gets to high. Flourosis causes for example softened bones. Children are especially vulnerable since they are small.

Symptoms of fluorosis are:

  • Chalky white teeth patches
  • Yellow stained teeth
  • Brown stained teeth
  • Discolored teeth
  • Weak teeth

How to avoid fluorosis AND tooth decay

  • Read the ingredients on your tooth paste, aim for natural ingredients and absolutely no laureate sulfates
  • Don’t use more toothpaste than needed
  • Don’t swallow toothpaste
  • Rinse you moth after brushing
  • Take time to brush your teeth
  • Avoid sugar

This works great for me and has done so for years. Your teeth are important so take good care of them.

    Question:
What does the beginning of tooth decay fell like?

I got tooth ache, like a sting, in a couple of teeth when I chewed.
